About Mike

Favorite investment book: Four Pillars of Investing – William Bernstein

I’ve had an interest in finance for at least 15 years, however starting in Fall of 2006, I started gaining a huge interest in personal finance. I think having a fairly sizable mortgage along with not getting any younger, motivated me to try to take stock (no pun intended) of my financial situation particularly with respect to retirement.

During the process of assessing our retirement portfolio, retirement contributions, debt repayments, retirement lifestyle etc, I’ve learned about a lot of new things and the financial blog community has been one of the best sources of information for me.

Mike, I saw your comment on programming for the same company for 10 years over at lazy man and money. How do you manage to make sure you are getting paid what you’re worth?

So are the four pillars you seek the same as the ones in the book Four Pillars of Investing? I’ve always wondered that. (It’s one of my favorite books as well.)

Good stuff another pf blogger from Toronto. Well I am very very new to pf blogging. I am a student at Ryerson University looking to expand my knowledge in the field of pf and pf blogging. I would love to hear from you sometime.
