Hope you had a great “holiday” week. I managed to get my home office setup. I’ve been blogging from a laptop on my couch for the past 3 years and I decided that having a proper workspace would help with productivity. I’m also hoping it will allow me to set “office hours” so I can limit my blogging time a bit. I have a hard time putting the laptop away.
I bought a used PC and 2 19″ monitors. After using a laptop for so long, the extra screen space will take a bit of getting used to. They are about five years old, but work quite well.

Preet uncovered this gem. BMO wants to rename their index funds to include “ETF”. This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. Why stop at ETF? Why not call it the ETF Gold Lady Gaga Index Fund?

ETF Gold Lady Gaga Index Fund (TM). You should register a trademark on that. You’ll be raking in the big dough pretty soon.
Thanks for the mention.
Have been enjoying those Tenant from Hell stories — having lived in a downtown rooming house while in university.
Have fun with the dueling monitors. Thanks for the mention.
I have an 20″ IMac in my office downstairs. I do almost everything on my small hackintosh on the couch as I watch my son. I even remote control the IMac.

The other day I made one of my rare trips to the office. I was think this is a really nice set-up why don’t I come down here more often? Maybe I will…

Thanks for the mention. I’ll be following up on that post next week (or shortly thereafter)
That pet insurance post is timely as we’re adding a puppy to he household in a couple of weeks and I’ve been thinking about it. Seems the “shove 100 bucks a month in an ING account and call it done” approach is the way to go? Do you have insurance for your cats?
Guinness, I’ve never had pet insurance. I would just put them down before paying for an expensive surgury.
