I just finished booking a hotel room in downtown Toronto using Priceline.com. I was curious about how Priceline worked and how much money it would save. Unfortunately, I made a mistake when I entering the bids and ended up with an extra hotel room which cost me $116. Oops!
Oh well – I’ll be posting on the experience in a few weeks.
On with the links

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the mention and for commenting on my article this week!
I also happen to a very experienced Priceline user and am just about to bid on a hotel for my friend either tonight after I’m done this comment or tomorrow if I decide to go to bed 🙂
If you have any questions or need any tips/advice be sure to give me a shout. I routinely get hotels for up to 70% off the current advertised going rate. Sorry to here that you made a slip up and booked an extra room – that can be easy to do if you’re trying various rebidding strategies especially if you are tired when doing it!
Thanks for the link Mike!
Thanks for the link Mike (and to my guest post as well). When I was in the hotel industry I found that Canadian hotels weren’t using Priceline very well (not allocating much inventory to it). Not sure why, I would rather discount and experiment on a site where nobody knows it’s your hotel than to discount my rates everywhere else.
I checked out the dullest blog…why were there 378 comments on the “Tidying Some Pencils” article?
Great list of articles! Thanks
I’m eager to hear about Priceline!
I couldn’t resist going to the dullest blog. Funny at first, but then became quite dull.
The “dullest blog” is just bizarre. I got a good laugh, and number of comments is unbelievable.
Belated thanks for the mention Mike!
Hi Mike,
Thanks for including me in your links!
